How to Calculate Veneer Stone Corner Units

Corner units = ceil((Corner run × (1 + Waste%)) ÷ Linear ft per unit)
  1. Measure the total linear footage of every outside corner the veneer will wrap.
  2. Pick your corner unit type and confirm its average linear coverage per piece.
  3. Add waste for cuts at the top of the corner run and breakage during handling.

Alternating Long and Short Corner Legs

Manufactured stone corner units come with alternating long and short legs on each piece so the corner pattern interlocks and looks continuous from both sides, instead of showing a seam down one face. Stack the pieces so the long leg alternates sides as you go up the corner, and dry-lay a run on the ground first to check the pattern and color blend before you start setting stone with mortar.
